E-Cards vs Real Holiday Cards

Tis the season....that is what people say during this time of year however the end of 2008 has been very strange. You cannot turn on the TV, radio, open a newspaper or a magazine without hearing recessions, retail in trouble, a very slow holiday season. I really didn't even feel like is was the holiday season till about a week ago when I went to see some carollers, but had I not done that it will feel like any other month. I mean yes Starbucks has their holiday cups which makes me very happy but every store front has the word SALE and before xmas this is very disheartening. I don't want to buy things for people on sale that is not the point of the season of giving. Okay now to the point of my blog here I am sick and tired of getting e-holiday cards! There is something to be said about getting your mail everyday to find at least a handful of holiday cards and this year just a few and I am being generous. All the major companies, Marvel, Sesame Street, and Disney to name a few are sending out e-cards! I love seeing what cards companies pick out because usually they are super creative. The impact and anticipation of opening a holiday card puts a smile on face and clicking a link and watching something on my screen as I do all day just doesn't do it for me. For all of you sending out ecards I disagree send the old fashion snail mail holiday card.
Here are a few I have received thus far.....

Range Rover SNOB

Today I was driving along the 10 as I do everyday. I am a very observant person, I notice license plate numbers, what people are doing in the car as they drive to their desitination, and let me tell you I see some pretty funny and intersting things. This morning I saw a nice looking young man probably in his 30's driving a new black Range Rover- which is not out of the ordinary in Los Angeles however as he cut me off I noticed his license plate....are you ready for this. His personlized plate which he paid over $100 dollars for said CONCEITD!!! I wanted to rear end him...who has the balls to put something like that on their license plate?? Unreal really and as I say unacceptable!!!
